Does anyone around here have any experience using ffmpeg to do video transcodes on windows using AMD hardware? I’d love to rest AV1 encoding on my new GPU but ffmpeg is being mean.
@doxxy No idea about drivers, though, shit. Didn't think about that at all somehow. No idea how all that works.
@IceWolf Yeah, using Windows atm since I can’t get the pro drivers to work in linux and without them I’m pretty sure AV1 and the likes won’t work. :(

... do they have dedicated AV1 hardware these days?? Or just like, general GPU compute stuff?
@IceWolf Well the W6800 I have had support for hardware AV1 encoding. AMD markets it on their product page.

@IceWolf Just found a compiled ffmpeg version included with the AMF SDK. Lemme try this out.
