Life tip: Don't learn TypeScript. If you use TypeScript, stop. Use JavaScript. It's really nifty and easy to learn. Want type-safety? Use JSDoc!

But yeah regular JS is awesome. Y'don't need Frameworks™ these days!

(don't have much of an opinion on Typescript beyond "it feels like Microsoft is pulling an EEE" but we've never tried it and don't know if it feels any better to use)
