I kind of wonder if the translations that can be applied to Masto (such as changing "toots" to "barks", "likes" to "licks") could be user-based. That way every user gets to have that nice little personalized content in their social experience.
I kind of wonder if the translations that can be applied to Masto (such as changing "toots" to "barks", "likes" to "licks") could be user-based. That way every user gets to have that nice little personalized content in their social experience.
What would be even cooler is to have presets or something that the user could control for themselves that lets them switch between sets of translations on the fly. After all sometimes I may want to bark, chirp, dook, or use any other kind of vocalization that feels right for me at that moment.
It could be like the extra button you can add for post visibility but for translation of the post.
Bonus points if that data can stick with the post.
